Yes, my area looks a lot like Townsend in the Smokies. Back when we liked to travel on the big motorcycle we visited the Blue Ridge Mountains a lot, mostly in N.C. The entire string of the Appalachian mountains are beautiful but deceivingly wild. My ancestor settled in the Appalachians when he immigrated here from Scotland. Except for the time travel stuff the series Outlander could have been taken from my family oral history and recorded family tree. LOL
My Scots-Irish-German ancestors settled in PA, then migrated to Botetourt (my childhood home) County. Check out Brugh Tavern. ❤️
