"We have a KVH system for our boat. The capital cost is steep and the monthly service is even steeper. If Starlink will be a reasonable alternative, that would be great."

Last I checked they weren't offering mobile services, but I believe it's coming.

Height restrictions probably forced him to put it on the hood of his car, instead of his roof.

Intelligence with negative force probably prompted him to consider putting it on the car, and eventually the hood.

Tractor trailers are still higher than that dish would mounted to the roof.

And height of a home garage door or entrance to condo parking garage are lower than a tractor trailer, no?

Near as I can tell, you just have to point it at the sky. Doesn’t matter where. There’s going to be so many seats up there, it won’t matter.

"Do you really need it while you are driving?"

Yes, if you are also watching a movie.

Phased array of small antenna can be effectively steered by signal processing, based on time intervals between array elements.

Yeah, they're planning to try to use it for telemetry and video on the next Starship launch. That's about as mobile as it gets...

Gets points for Prius, loses them by adding to wind resistance and lowering driving range, thus using more energy. Plus obstructed vision and possible road hazard.

Off with his head.

Eventually they will be inside the car, under the glass, or part of the roof itself, using phased array steering to electrically aim the dish rather than mechanical.

I got ahold of the directors cut and in the end he actually fixes the washing machine. They always edit that part out of the down and dirty versions.
