Is it naive of me to assume the warnings provide sufficient reasons for a refusal to accept vaccination...?>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Well, in a perfect world, yes.
But that the fact is that complete vaccination is required in Canada to cross international borders, get on a commercial passenger flight, attend university , and employers are allowed to stipulate that employees be vaccinated, and schools in Nova Scotia can vaccinate children without parental consent.
Yet you do have the right to refuse. That’ll work if you are a hermit.
Canada is a draconian socialist nation, in complete retrograde of freedom.

Some of that is true, but not the part about getting on a flight. You need a covid PCR test at the lofty price of $200, but you can fly without a vaccination for now.
Universities are still deciding on whether or not to make vaccination mandatory for the fall semester. Employment lawyers have stated that because the federal and provincial governments have so far refrained from making the vaccine mandatory, it’s unlikely for now that workplace policies that do will stand if tested in court or through arbitration.
You are correct that Canada is a draconian socialist nation, in complete retrograde of freedom. I’m living it - unvaccinated - but not a hermit yet. You’re also right that our government is full of sick puppies.
On the bright side, Saskatchewan just ended all covid restrictions (masks, distancing, group size limitations) and is not permitting a vaccine passport requirement for public gatherings. I may move to Saskatchewan.
