Trying to think of the time I first heard of anyone who died of a drug overdose (other than famous rock-n-rollers). It was much, much later than 1972. To this day, there was nobody I knew personally. The cannabis users I knew stuck with cannabis, and most eventually quit, although not all did. I was a hardcore MJ/hashish smoker at one time.
