I understand the point you wanted to make, and you are to be commended, DoodleBob, for your effort, but to equate the exercise of 2A rights with "lifestyle choices" or "orientation" is a little off the mark.

To be clear, I wasn’t trying to equate them. Many people who claim to be tolerant etc become full of venom over guns. The writer would likely recoil in horror at my re-write, thus disproving her tolerance.

It’s only “off the mark” because this idiot writer would fight, and I mean physically fight, for the “lifestyle choices” and “orientation” people to get their way! Hell, she would willingly run you over for suggesting the Constitutionally protected right to self-defense is even as important as those glorious, righteous, homosexuals!
