The slime index is working against both of them.
It’s apples & oranges. No one gave Weinstien use immunity (I believe it was use and not transactional immunity) like the PA prosecutor gave to Cosby.
None at all.
The government had made a deal with Cosby that if he gave testimony and waived his 5th amendment rights that they would only charge him with civil violations and not criminal charges.
Then then the new government guy got in and used Cosby to get elected and said screw all that and not only charged him with criminal violations but used his own testimony in the civil trial as evidence!
Today the appeals court found that the government violated its own agreement and promises and set him free.
Weinstein has no promise from the government.
It doesn’t.
But he’s black. And he was funny. That’s what really matters.
Let him off so he can get reparations.
Harvey Weinstein was not funny, but famous, rich, liberal and a Friend of Bill. So let him off. He has famous, lefty and rich privilege.
He was also innocent.
Weinstein, not so much.
How about we take this Cosby moment to remind everyone about Slow Joe’s “me too” accuser that was swept under the rug.

You haven’t been following this case very closely have you.
There are two cases involved.
In the first one they gave him immunity. And he admitted everything he did. He admitted he gave Quaaludes to women, then had sex with them. Are you not aware of that?
But he had immunity so they could not prosecute him for it.
In the second case they used his admission from the first case. And so he was found guilty.
What happened today was that the judge threw out the testimony because The government had given him immunity.
But he still admitted it.
Why are you saying he’s innocent?
You’re not too bright and a liar aren’t you?
He admitted to partying with women where they came and VOLUNTARILY took Quaaludes (as part of the party drug scene) and even then only gave that testimony as part of the civil trial where he was given immunity.
He flatly denied raping them both in the civil case and the criminal one.

The women voluntarily took the quaaludes then 10+ years later said they didn’t.

I did not follow this case that closely and therefore did not know about this reneging on the deal. This is outrageous. I am sorry it took 2 years to straighten it out. Too bad they can’t charge the prosecutor with violating his civil rights.
It is just another example of how the injustice system has run off the rails.
Harvey still has Kalifornia to look forward to.
To be fair Mirimax Films has released at least a few excellent films.
