I remember that story. Burn the alive.
*Burn them alive.
Well, they didn’t get burned alive, but they did get sent to prison. According to Wiki- Mark Newton was sentenced to 40 years and Peter Truong was sentenced to 30 years after having his sentenced reduced for cooperating with authorities.
According to another article, the judge felt that Newton deserved a much longer sentenced but she was limited because he was tried at a district court level to spare the jury having to look at the images produced by the defendants.
Newton was tried and convicted in the U.S., while Truong was sentenced in his home country of New Zealand.
Why do prosecutors always want to “spare” the victim or “spare” the jury for these types of crime. Is that why it continues to rage out of control? Is this what Q meant when he said “They won’t be able to walk down the street?”
In Kansas City, another sex and human trafficking ring was just broken up, 31 people saved, the youngest being 4 years old. You just want to sit and cry....
I remember it too. Burn alive sounds a-okay.
