I vaguely remember having a faint scar in early adulthood from some shot I had as a kid. I’m assuming smallpox. But I’ll be darned if I can find it now, as my skin has so many small white dots on it from the dozens of moles I removed. LOL

My grandpa had polie and was in a leg brace for as long as I can remember.

I had all of the childhood diseases as a kid, but don’t think I ever had the flu, as in influenza. Our family called the 24-hour digestive bug the “flu”, so that’s what I thought it meant for many years, until I learned there was an actual flu that was something different. I’ve never gotten, or plan on getting, a flu shot.

Back in the 50’s and 60’s we didn’t get vaccinated for childhood stuff. I had the two week measles and chicken pox but never had the German Measles or Mumps. My brothers and sisters had G. measles and mumps so I don’t know how I didn’t get them. I only remember having the actual flu twice and both times were after I was grown and working. The last time in 2008 was the one I thought would kill me. My pulmonary specialist thought it would too. LOL We had a lot of the 24-hour stomach bugs when we were little and I had it a few times while I was working. People come to work sick or when their kids are sick and expose everybody. I haven’t had it since I retired.
