Government mismanagement is a huge part of the potential problems from any natural disaster.

Forest management and wise water storage and use would go a long way to preventing the problems US residents will be facing should the weather be extreme.

That is very true. But 112 in Portland, OR beats the all-time record high of 107 in 1942.

Exactly.

Cities and Golf Courses built IN THE DESERT and wanting the full range of amenities never made sense to me.

But, what do I know? I’m just a Dumb Yankee who lives between The GLORIOUS Great Lakes and The Mighty Mississippi. ;) (We ARE 9” below normal on rain this season, though.)

Even animals/birds & slithering things know to live near a water source. ;)
