Pennsylvania Democrat Rep. Margo Davidson has resigned from the state House of Representatives after an investigation found she misused taxpayer funds for personal use.

Attorney General Josh Shapiro released a statement announcing that Davidson stands accused of filing fraudulent reimbursement claims for overnight stays and for events already paid for by her campaign.

Shapiro’s office also said Davidson allegedly received payment from the House Comptroller’s Office for the claims and tried to pay a witness to lie during the course of the investigation.”
