I just watched an Andy Griffith episode where a county nurse was trying to get a farmer to take a tetanus shot.
This time I cheered on the farmer.
He got it in the end, well in the arm at the end. Andy assured him they weren’t going to force him to do anything he didn’t want to do, but then 5he show proceeds to depict the farmer as a complete moron.
I agree we wiped out diseases here, but I think the difference is they were tested. I know the pharmaceutical companies were promised a lot of money to come up with something.
We’ve had pandemics before. No response like this.
