Good morning! I am still avoiding the news and so don’t have much to say. One thing I do is watch various live cams around the world of natural things, including the Katmai River where the bears feast on salmon.
My perplexing question is: how do the salmon actually make it over the falls?
I see them leap and fall back into the river. I see the bears catch some of them. But I have yet to see a salmon actually, successfully leap the falls and continue swimming up the river.
How do they do that? Do they ever do that? Which of course is a silly question because we know that some must be successful. If there weren’t we’d have no salmon next year!
