Trump: 'I have not conceded' 2020 loss; might have 'different president' now if not for Pence choice
On the possibility of being reinstated as president if the 2020 contest is verified as fraudulent, Trump said such a decision would be "up to public" or "perhaps politicians."
Former President Donald Trump said Monday that he has not conceded the 2020 presidential race, that if the election is proven fraudulent it will be up to the public and "perhaps politicians" to decide how to respond, and that if Mike Pence had sent disputed election results back to state legislatures for review the country "might very well have a different president right now."
"No, I never admitted defeat," Trump told Just the News' "Water Cooler" in an exclusive interview on Real America's Voice.
"We have a lot of things happening right now ... all you have to do is read the newspapers and see what's coming out now," he said, adding that he has "not conceded."

OK. Making a definitive statement about a hypothetical scenario like that is interesting for conversation, but that’s it.
We had more contentious elections than this one that ended up with highly questionable results. Andrew Jackson had his own version of the “deep state” to deal with.
Pence was a timid milquetoast beta male when he could have done something bold, historic and right.
“ Pence was a forced error, like a number of his other appointments.”
Let me revise that. Trump *thought*, or rather was misled into believing, that he couldn’t win without support from the establishment. And the way to win support from the establishment was to pick an establishment running mate like Reagan did in picking H W. As we now know that is not true. Outsider candidates, if their base of support is wide enough and deep enough can run a campaign on their own including picking a running mate of their own choice. This mistake will not be made again. Of course it helps to have the party apparatus on your side, but when you control the flow of money the party apparatus won’t have a choice but be on your side.
“And no, there was no proof of fraud until now and they are actually counting the ballots, not just recounting fake ballads.”
Here’s a site that lists many instances of fraud.

Sadly but predictably, D’s and GOPe made every effort to squash the evidence from being brought forward.
Trump needs to learn that the 2020 election was stolen fair & square.
So are you pretty much lovin' this second term so far?
The constitution does not require an inauguration in January. The original presidential term expired sometime in March but if there is no president elect at that time, the speaker temporarily takes on the duties of president until one is elected. Probably someone else here remembers more precisely the procedure when a new president is not elected when the old president’s term expires.
+1
He could send them to the House/Senate to rule on. Everything at that point was stacked in the Usurper’s favor. Had the legislators done more than talk, that might not have been true.
Contentious elections and a number of local frauds were not the event we just went through. Instead we have a completely corrupted media and office holders playing parts in wholesale and nationwide fraud. None of the correction procedures even began to come into play and the fraud was universally sold by all our media.
Pretty lame to blame Pence. He had six weeks to prove fraud and didn’t do it.
From a procedural standpoint, what has Nancy Pelosi ever done that is illegal by any objective measure?
Pence wasn’t named to the Trump ticket because he was an establishment guy. He was put on the ticket to give evangelical Christians an assurance that it was OK to vote for Trump.
What exactly would that accomplish?
well. to my mind. this is the first Presidential action he’s taken so far in his 2nd term, and i like it fine.
“The Constitution does not require an inauguration in January”
The Constitution does not require an inauguration at all. What it DOES require is that the terms of the President and Vice President end on January 20, and that the terms of their successors then begin.
Trump fell short when he had the Oval Office and the Bully Pulpit to prove that the election was stolen.
Yup, it turns out all those safeguards that prevent a fraudulent president that we learned about since the fifth grade ALL failed. We have been living a delusion of Constitutional protections for a long long time. In a nutshell when put to the test, the entire system failed.
There is no fix for this. The federal government can not be reformed.
It’s like spoiled meat in the fridge. How do you fix that spoiled chicken? The answer of course is you don’t, it’s rotten and will only get worse. The only fix is to throw it out.
I think what we have learned is Trump came along far too late. He was never going to drain the swamp as that would mean replacing the entire federal government.
It doesn’t make any difference who we send to DC, they are outnumbered a thousand to one. State level elections are the only thing that matters from here out.
Nonsense, Trump would have done just fine without Pence, an unknown outside of the midwest. Nobody held their nose and voted for Trump because bland uncharismatic nondescript Pence would be the VP. The only characteristic Trump’s running mate needed was to be in the young side. Any Republican running mate would have worked, Trump was the star, the VP nothing but an afterthought. Pence is no Sarah Palin, who almost carried McCain over the finish line. Further, during the campaign of 2016, Pence showed himself to be quite treacherous. A lot of us wished at the time that he could be removed. Time has certainly proved us right!
