You'll find the answer at your next Fourth of July backyard barbecue.
As Americans approach a post-COVID celebration of the Fourth of July, it's an appropriate time to consider why the most extreme elements of the far Left have been able to take control of American institutions so quickly — despite polls showing that the overwhelming majority of citizens oppose the "woke" agenda almost in its entirety.
During the Fourth of July, the root cause of this national nightmare will be on display for all to see.
I'm speaking of the backyard barbecue.
The barbecue is the hermeneutical key to understanding the gradual breakdown of western society — not just in the U.S., but also in Australia, Canada, and many other countries.
It explains why normal citizens watch helplessly as blue-haired men in dresses take control of key government departments, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, intelligence services, virtually all universities, many corporations, and much of the judicial system. It all comes down to influence.
The truth is, normal, happy, well-adjusted people don't really care about politics — or care only when they are forced to by rioting mobs of looters in their cities.
Normal people of any and all colors don't want to tell you their pronouns, chemically castrate their sons with puberty-blocking drugs, or defund the police. They're neither oppressors nor oppressed.
They just want to live their lives in peace, attend their kids' soccer or baseball games, and enjoy summer afternoons grilling
Therein lies the problem: it turns out that, with a very few exceptions, the absolute worst people on the planet — the kind of people who were hall monitors in high school and enjoy creating and enforcing petty regulations on their fellows — go into politics.

I agree. This didn't just happen in the last 10 years. It started in the 60s when they started to gain control of academia and pop culture.
“The larger group is passive while the smaller group is aggessive, committed, and maniachal.”

You nailed it.
But add to that “fear.” Fear is a powerful force and keeps us passive. We have a lot to lose, so we don’t fight back. We keep waiting for a politician to save us.
One of the biggest hypes is how powerful our army is. Our standing Army is peanut compared to the population of the USA. We fear secession because of that? A 1 million man ( I use that term loosely) standing army? LOL.
We have reached that place my friend!!
Decades of young people were systematically indoctrinated and at the same time, dummied down to the place where they hardly know HOW to or even care to challenge the government.
In subdivisions with HOAs, we call the types of people described in this article sidewalk nazis.
Bit simple but when you remember that the Left is composed of many with overt psychiatric issues especially diffuse anxiety, paranoia, depression and in many cases frank psychosis, politics becomes a form of therapy and a way of life. They find some relief by projecting their problems on a bigger template. They create shamans and boogey men such as conservatives and “white supremacists”. The average well adjusted, sane person does not have such an emotional interest in politics and views government as something to do practical, rational things.

The cities are where Freedom went to die. Get out of the city while you still can. The hour is late.

Because they have so many Assistant Democrats wearing R jerseys assisting them.
Also, many normals stopped breeding, and many of those who did failed to pass along a culture to their offspring.
One of the reasons schools were easy targets is because anchor babies and golden ticket welfare bastards probably outnumber the offspring of normals there - and have for some time.
Thirty years ago Bush League Republicans took control of the GOP and turned them into Assistant Democrats.
Because they have the blessing of national media, local media networks. They have infiltrated our school boards, our colleges, businesses, ad agencies, law firms and social media platforms.
How did the LGBT folks, a minority of folks, bring change so quickly in the past 10 years? They brought their agenda into schools, Congress, businesses and neighborhoods by using the word “Bully”. If you disagree, you are a bully. The LGBT’s are being bullied, your gay kids are being bullied, etc.
They have milllionaires and Billionaires funding them to riot, pay TV stations, school boards to hammer home their agenda. They recruit college kids with money for their messaging.
We work, take care of our families.

The left is allowed to riot, they wouldn’t tolerate the right doing the same. The media, money and corporations fear the right.
Leftists are a minority...so why do they keep winning? That's easy. Because they prey on and play on people's emotions.
And dare I say the worst ones to let emotions run (actually ruin) their lives are women.
The mixture of the worship of big government mode of thought plus the subjectivism/nihilism mode of thought has become dominant. The dominant mode of thought determines cultural products such as entertainment, politics, and economics.
Another aspect is that corporations have come to reflect the same beliefs as other institutions (colleges and universities, foundations, the media, mainline religions).
Hanania references the difference between ordinal and cardinal utility:
While all votes count equally on Election Day, at all other times some citizens matter a lot more than others. For example, let’s say I vote Republican every two years, but otherwise go on with my life and rarely ever think about politics. You, on the other hand, not only vote Democrat, but give money to campaigns, write your Congressman when major legislation comes up, wear pink hats, and march in the streets or write emails to institutions when you’re outraged about something.
Through the lens of ordinal utility, in which people simply rank what they want to happen, we are about equal. I prefer Republicans to Democrats, while you have the opposite preference. But when we think in terms of cardinal utility – in layman’s terms, how bad people want something to happen – it’s no contest. You are going to be much more influential than me. Most people are relatively indifferent to politics and see it as a small part of their lives, yet a small percentage of the population takes it very seriously and makes it part of its identity. Those people will tend to punch above their weight in influence, and institutions will be more responsive to them.
