The home where Charles Manson's followers murdered the LaBiancas is finally in the hands of a new owner ... after months of sitting on the market and a significant slash in price.
Sources familiar with the purchase tell TMZ, the Los Feliz crib -- where Leno and Rosemary LaBianca were infamously killed in '69 -- just passed hands from Zak Bagans to someone who's not so famous, and wants to keep it that way.
The anonymous buyer closed on Tuesday, and we're told they paid around $1.8 million ... quite a bit less than the $2.2 mil originally sought when the "Ghost Adventures" star first listed it back in October.
If you can get past its very dark history, the property itself is actually pretty sweet. It's a 2-bed, 2-bath home that clocks in at around 1,600 square feet. It's got a pool, and fantastic views of the city.

The tell tail heart…
I wonder if it is another BLM. Purchase.
Tale…
The Manson gang picked that house at random because it is near Sunset Boulevard. The La Bianca house is a few miles east of the Sunset Strip. The Manson family was familiar with Sunset Boulevard. A lot of bad things and fatal celebrity drug over doses happen close to Sunset Boulevard.
Just looked it up. The Harlow/Bern home (where Bern allegedly took his own life) was where Sharon Tate was murdered (while Roman Polanski was away in London). The LaBianca murders took place a day later.

“In 1968, a man named Dick Kleiner interviewed Sharon Tate. He asked if she had ever experienced anything supernatural. She told Kleiner about a terrifying experience in the former Jean Harlow house. One night, while sleeping in the bedroom where Bern died, she had a strange feeling.
Tate saw a creepy ghostly man in her bedroom and soon realized it was Paul Bern. She ran out of the bedroom and towards the stairs. She then saw a different ghostly figure tied to the staircase. Although she couldn’t determine the gender, she assumed it was her or Jay Sebring. She also noticed the spirit had a slit throat. Tate called it a premonition. Little did she know, Paul Bern’s ghost had possibly visited Tate as a warning.”
Jean Harlow died young in 1937, IIRC.
To me, that is more believable than random slaughter. I am much more inclined that Manson, who was established to be a nutter, would be a very useful tool for whoever wanted to settle scores.
As I heard it, the tate house was demolished and the land was used to create a larger parcel . Where the tate house was, is basically the basement of a new house, located on the hillside.

Yes it was but it was rented out from 1970 to 1996 when it was torn down to build a new house.
Flamethrower? LOL. My thoughts exactly. And don’t forget Beauty the PitBull.
My old bf had curly red hair, went to Jay Sebring to get it cut right. One afternoon he came over to say Jay had invited us to a party that night in the Hollywood Hills with movie stars attending. I felt as though ten guys with a battering ram had hit me in the stomach and breathed out, “NO”. Such a powerful response convinced him not to go and we did not die that night.
Literally still getting goose bumps when I think of it.
BTW, I had a similar reaction the first time I saw BJC stand up at a Dem candidate’s debate. Pow in the belly and, “We’ve come to this?”
Thought so. Thx.
welcome
Interesting story!
What’s the matter Zak, the ghosts didn’t want to play?
IT’S in my neighborhood. it is a lovely house.
bump
I wouldn’t live in that helter skelter if you paid me $1.8M
