Wow. I’m stunned. I’m a federal employee and I already get 10 federal holidays, which was plenty. Now I will get 11.
It’s amazing, but somehow not surprising. One party rule can do anything—maybe a federal holiday every week? Whatever. It dilutes the value of the other federal holidays.
The midterms can’t come soon enough!
How about #12: Dindu Nuffin Day? It can be on Michael Brown's b-day. Or Trayvons's. Or....
As long as they're adding federal holidays, let's give back one in February so Washington's Birthday and Lincoln's Birthday can be properly celebrated again. Oh wait, I guess because they were white guys, no such luck.
