I think you’re being a little tough on the guy.

I got a drainage basket in my sink and I can see the cats playing around or stepping on the thing and shutting it down from draining.

We had a cat that did that. One day I came home to a film of water creeping up the hallway. I had to put cups upside down to block access to the levers. I have video of him turning on the faucet.

I have a cat that decided to sleep in the bathroom sink. Somehow, they managed to turn the water on while in there and after that incident they never gotten here that sink again.

Luckily, even if the drain was closed bathroom sinks have the overflow. However, I was home and heard a loud commotion in the area of the bathroom and God to investigate, found the sink running in for the trail of water to a sopping wet cat Hiding under the bed.

Just flip your rolls of toilet paper upside down. Your cats will be happy to unroll them to soak up the water.

Ours doesn’t drain as fast as the water coming in.

Miss Kitty has been proudly bringing in bugs every few minutes. A bit ago, she brought in a snake about 18” long and thick as a finger. Nearly dropped it in the middle of sleeping hubby.

• Should the sink have an overflow path in it. Come to think of it, my bathroom sinks do but not my kitchen ones.
• Change the faucet to one that has turn knobs so it's harder for them to turn on.
• Get a water alarm. Possibly a smart one in case they strike while you are away.
• Get a dog, get rid of the cats.
