Andrew McCabe looks awfully nervous about Durham
American Thinker ^ | 14 Jun, 2021 | Thomas Lifson

Most conservatives that I know have all but given up on the Durham investigation. But Friday on CNN, Andrew McCabe let slip something quite revealing.

Most conservatives that I know have all but given up on the hope that the special counsel investigation underway by John Durham will ever result in prosecution

SNIP

Friday, disgraced and fired former number two at the FBI, Andrew McCabe, used some very interesting language about the Durham investigation in a segment broadcast on CNN, where he now works as a contributor. It came in a segment that was supposed to be attacking Trump (of course, this characterizes most CNN reports that are not weather forecasts). Daniel Chaitin of the Washington Examiner writes:

The wave of investigations stemming from the Justice Department under the Trump administration is "relentless," said a former top FBI official dogged by these inquiries.

One such pursuit is special counsel John Durham's criminal inquiry into the Russia investigation, which fired FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe brought up as he appeared alongside CNN anchor Pamela Brown on Friday to comment on the revelation that the Trump-era Justice Department seized data

McCabe talked about his personal experience, casting himself as being the victim of an unprecedented retaliatory campaign. That's when he mentioned Durham's review.

"It's the relentless pursuit of these cases despite no factual results, right? Despite unproductive investigations. And look, that's been my own experience. I've been under investigation since January of 2017, right? It's one investigation after another. I guess if you count John Durham, then maybe I still am," he said.

"It is the relentless pursuit of retaliation against perceived enemies, and I don't think we've seen anything like that from the Justice Department or any part of this government prior to the Trump administration," McCabe added.

Lifson is an idiot. If McCabe was truly concerned about being a target of the investigation, or even being within the blast radius of a target, he would not have commented on it at all.

We are also still waiting for Grassley to get to bottom of Fast and Furious.

He shouldn’t be nervous. Democrats always skate.

The Huber Report and the Durham Report are chips that are held by the Justice Department and FBI, to be used against those who would affect the power of the Departments with budgetary or actual criminal oversight. As soon as needed, they will drop these chips on whoever stands in their way. That is how J. Edgar did it. That is how they will do it.

“Unless I’m mistaken,”

You’re mistaken as one of the final. Acts from Bushbot Deep State protector Bill Barr was to quietly make Durham a Special Counsel.

We’ve seen nothing in the way of indictments since.

Zero.

The whole of our DOJ, CIA and IC in general, IRS and Federal bureaucracy in general are all controlled by anti-American Marxists.

The American people need to wipe the slate clean.

After what these vile creatures have done to the country by trying to remove our duly elected President via coup, I want to see heads on pikes.

Trying? Looks like they succeeded. The impeachments didn't work but they found a way to rig and steal the election.

Trump should be six months into his second term right now.

I’m not entirely certain, but I believe Special Prosecutors (who are NOT Independent Prosecutors as that statute doesn’t exist anymore), are required under existing DOJ rules to get the permission of the AG before seeking an indictment of anyone. So, I’m not only HUGELY skeptical Durham has the goods, but I’m even more skeptical he would get permission from Garland to indict. Garland is proving himself to be a faithful tool - apparatchik - of the DNC.

If Durham actually obtains an indictment, who knows where that goes and that’s something the Swamp simply won’t allow to happen.

And honestly, what’s to keep Biden from pardoning all of them if it came to that? Probably nothing. 98% of the media would all gleefully support that move.

Figures. I didn't know that. Precisely why I don't follow these things anymore. Nobody plays by the rules. They are constantly moving the goals posts to avoid being in the wrong. Call me a cynic.

Thanks for your input.

I am a conservative, and I lost trust.

All of it, any of it, for either the FBI or DOJ.

I once had some expectation of something, anything being done to these evil scum who undermined, ignored, and broke the law, but everyone, anyone, was allowed to walk away without even a slap on the hand.

In the face of overwhelming evidence. I followed it very closely, particularly the political persecution of General Michael Flynn.

He was persecuted illegally and unfairly because he knew too much.

I put together a comprehensive spreadsheet of the events surrounding General Flynn in a chronological timeline with links. I am glad I did it, because it proved to me, up to my own standards of belief, what that was-a illegal, ideologically driven, real life political lynching.

This was important to me, even if nobody else was interested in looking at it. I didn't really need to put it together, but the proof positive to myself that they did this allowed me to fully accept what was illegally done to President Trump, George Papadopoulos, and hundreds or thousands of people of all stripes, I have no doubt.

Anyone interested can read it here:

“Call me a cynic.”

Not your fault, it’s their games: constant, unyielding, unrelenting.

What we have however is their exposure. Spread the word and we fight!
The tide is turning.

I agree. For what these people did to our institutions, our electoral processes, our laws, and our country, they should hang.

However, it won’t happen.

Since those in power ignored the actions of the likes of John Kerry and Jane Fonda (with the exception of Leftists who use the attempted prosecution of everything from Treason to the execrable Logan Act for purely ideological reasons) this country will not even prosecute Treason, Sedition, or even unlawfulness.

There are two major concessions, unspoken agreements that underpin the very foundation of this Republic: We allow ourselves to be governed by others if the elections are fair, and the people elected to govern us live by the same laws that everyone else does.

Both of these concessions have been violated with malice and even enjoyment by every elected official on the Left, and nearly all of them on the Right.

We live under an illegitimate government.

So if you are waiting for a report from Durham, don’t hold your breath.

Anyone holding their breath for Durham would have expired a year and a half ago.

The endless gibberish spouted by Qballs notwithstanding, Durham isn’t doing squat.

Not will he.

Riiiiight.

A guy who so far has done nothing, indicted no one, under BITEME’s Justice Department, is making an FBI criminal “nervous.” Give me a break.

I declared my cynicism about Durham over a year ago on this thread:

Rice tried to protect Obama, blame Comey for withholding intelligence from Flynn & Trump team.

I was called either, "stupid or ignorant," by a FReeper who suggested I don't understand, "the investigative process," (which I found rather curious since I've made pretty good money over the past 30 years as a criminal, civil and insurance defense investigator).

I did keep that thread bookmarked simply because nobody would have been happier than I to be proven wrong so I could eat a Thanksgiving sized helping of crow in the event indictments were ever forthcoming.

My plate is still empty.

Yep.. Keep that stupid delusion alive, by all means. Durham is our man. He's gonna come through. And trust Sessions! Trust him. Sessions is playing 4D golf, or something. He's got hundreds of thousands of 'sealed indictments'.

Just wow.
