I see you’re another Gore recount sign up like me.

Pretty much. Like most I lurked for awhile and decided I liked the company in here :-)

Buy American made ammo. CCI/ Federal/ Remington etc.

As if you can get any right now.

If you were going to a gang shoot out or a cartel hit, would you pick a .22 as your weapon? I can’t see this going to gangs. The cartel might very well have connections to a “legitimate” large retailer somewhere in the hemisphere. Sell the whole thing .40 on the dollar.

Are vendors in Progesso and Nuevo Larado selling it cheap yet?

I lurked too, probably because the class of ‘98 scared me. 😀

Next time I’m on my way to a gang shootout, I’ll let you know!

No, no, the gangs/cartels would just sell it like they do everything else. It’s all about the $$

I bought a bunch of their .22LR a couple of years ago. I like it.

I think they pioneered the shorty 12 gauge buckshot shell. And being in Mexico they make a nice .38 Super round.

Of course, you wouldn’t take a .22 and neither would gangbangers or cartel. The question was how do they sell it. My thinking was selling it en masse to some large retailer they have an in with or an ownership stake in. Otherwise it’s gun shows or the internet and in modern day America they’d be asking to be caught.

This was never about the cartels using 22s. It’s about an ammo theft via hijacking a cargo truck used by the manufacturer to transport this stuff to the U.S.

And I have no idea how they’d go about peddling it.

Stacked 20x50x14. Heavy as hell. An ammo can with seven bricks is no fun to schlep around.

Federalpremium.com ... stock was tricky but is reviving, and not gouging/auction-hound pricing.

Alas, Hornady doesn’t sell direct.

Aguila .22 shells burn dirty. They shoot OK.

And they have a distinct odor.

Any .22 shells are very valuable today. As is all ammo.

I saw signs of a shipment of some PRVI Partizan (PPU) CZ made ammo today at one of the on line distributors. It won’t last long. I did not order any because I’m only looking for a couple of calibers of brass right now.

The problem with 22s is not that they don’t kill you, it’s that they don’t kill you fast enough.
