Yep it’s all paid off as of June 2018. We have actually paid it off before. This time, I deliberately did not renew the home equity loan. No more buying anything using home as collateral.

We pay property tax and insurance. The former house payment now goes to stock up, build storage/root cellar, pay off credit card used to purchase stuff on-line.

We are hoping to install a backup generator and buy a couple of cisterns before the great inflation gets too bad.

You never really own your home. If you don’t pay the tax, they can take it.
