That’s interesting. So the copper and iron that is normally in the body went kind of wonky in the brain? I’m not a scientist so kind of a dumb question I suppose.

They didn’t mention what enzymes in the brain (metal ions are usually at the active site of an enzyme) normally contain copper and iron; nor whether there was a mix of normal/abnormal copies of these enzymes; nor whether (say) the abnormal enzymes were exclusively in damaged cells, or not. (shrugs)
