A few years ago I asked my doctor if coronary artery buildups could be attributed to inflammation; that cholesterol was a response and not a cause, and he said that was a credible theory.

“that cholesterol was a response”

Winner. They think the symptom is the cause. The body produces cholesterol to help combat stress. It’s like thinking a fever is the bad guy ibstead of properly understanding it is a response to a bad guy.

There’s no money to make pushing that narrative.

You might like this pdf by Dr Uffe Ravnskov. Found it very insightful and understandable. “ A highly qualified doctor and scientist analyzes the studies used to justify the cholesterol hypothesis and demonstrates that the idea that animal fats and cholesterol cause heart disease is based on flimsy, even fraudulent evidence and wishful thinking. Includes a discussion on the dangers of vegetable oils and cholesterol-lowering drugs.”
