Talk about misleading. Your statement that IC engines are only 20% efficient is flat out wrong. Modern otto cycle engines run 30 to 35 % efficient. Makes a big difference in your comparison PLUS electric motors are NOT 100% efficient looking on google I found 77% as a number, but this was from an EV site so I suspect it’s somewhat optimistic. By the way you haven’t addressed where the power is going to come from. And don’t spew out BS about wind and solar.
After a substantial drive, place a hand upon the transmission and drive axle which dissipate power between the engine and the wheels. There one will find additional losses of efficiency.
