This report relies on too many lefty articles for my comfort, investopedia(owned by twitter), quora, huffpost.
Elon says a lot of things.
Hard to judge everything. But if renting or buying the frat house is the only discrepancy in the report then that is fine by me.

Of course its fine by you. It supports your pre-conceived notion. You do not hear the reports natural bias? If the report feels free to slant something basic like saying he “bought” the frat house, it’s trying to embellish his wealth.
Too many sources out there today trying to tear down achievement and when they rely on left-wing news links to “prove” their points, I tend to want more than fly-by fast read videos with little substance.

I stopped listening to “media” decades ago. I’ve got eyes, ears and can read quite well on my own, thank you very much.
And fortunately I was educated to think for myself and come to my own conclusions. Sometimes I’m right, sometimes I’m not. That’s life.
Elon’s not a preacher on late night TV. He’s actually doing things. Is he getting it right every time? Has suffered failures and setbacks?

two all the other big space/defense contractors have been taking gov money for over 90 years.
I am no musk fan but he has done a some good things. I would rather pay him for a ride to space than the Russians.

The nation that controls space is going to control the world. You would hand that control to China, Russia or the EU.
Space settlement is the future for humanity. Someday far, far in the future more people will live in space than on the Earth. You would turn your back on that future.
Finally the way this country is heading, we all may need a place to flee to, much like our ancestors fled a corrupt European Aristocracy for the USA.

Who said I hated Elon Musk? I don’t hate him. I don’t get the Elon worship by so many. His talent is figuring out ways to get tax dollars. And I never said anything about Boeing and all the other corporate welfare queens out there.
You mean like Ross Perot? Lockheed? or anyone of a dozen defense contractors?
I view NASA like all the other agencies as unconstitutional / not expressly authorized. I know this is radical and controversial but it is my view. I think it’s a waste of money and not something the gov’t should be doing.
Why can’t “pioneers” like Musk use private money to explore space? He wants to partner with the gov’t and collect the money via contracts. This is cronyism and corporate welfare. It needs to stop.
There should be no reason that Musk, Bezos, Gates etc. should be getting fat government contracts but they do.
It annoys me..
