History shows that no nation can survive the tension, conflict, and antagonism of two or more competing languages and cultures.
What an outstanding piece, GW. I’ve ALWAYS thought exactly this, and stopped reading right there to rush to the reply box, being very excited to see my thoughts explained out by a smart guy (which means maybe I’m a smart guy?).

👍😉Gotta be able to talk to each other. A common language is a necessity to work out all the other stuff. Otherwise, things get lost in the translation. Derps know it, but they pretend otherwise.
Honestly I am unfamiliar with it. Is it posted on line or published?
I worked about five years on mine, took time off of FR. When the Tolkien estate refused to allow it to be published I posted it on line and moved on. At that time it was the only comprehensive full Tolkien dictionary in the world.
I am an amateur linguist and on some terms with no Tolkien guidance - like the horse's name Asfaloth - I used eclectic interpretive methods, thinking of Tokien's own thinking when he used those phonetic elements. When further Tolkien notes were found and published I pointed out to the official linguists that many of my interpretations were correct.
Their response: I was just lucky.
I decided to move on.
Good night, good sister.
I found it in a Meijers store as a semi-leatherbound ThunderDay Press book. Apparently first text copyrighted in ‘93 and this version is 2016. ISBN is 9781607109068.
Seems it’s a derivative work as there’s also a note that says First published by Mitchell Beazley a division of Octopus Publishing Group as “A Guide to Tolkien” and that some or all originally appeared in “A-Z of Tolkien”, “The Tolkien Bestiary”, and/or “The Tolkien Encyclopedia” also by Octopus Publishing 1979, 1991, 1993.
I watched it also, wrote Bullock and told him some of his prophetic announcements melded well with many of my interpretive {{different 'gift'}} understandings.
Probably not very comprehensive. The Tolkien estate is very covetous of their copyright. I am aware of the books you mention but know nothing of Octopus Publishing.
It is beginning to look like that whole crew is complicit in starting and spreading a global pandemic. The Bitem Admin is implicated also - there will be no investigation; Pelosi and Schumer are blocking that.
God knows the truth.
more lights on at the WH tonite......what is going on...

The USCP won’t release over 14,000 hours of footage because it—
• Proves agitators started the Riot
• Proves Mike Byrd executed Ashli Babbitt
• Proves Ashli Babbitt wasn’t the only person murdered that day
• Exposes the law-makers directly involved.
The list goes on..

My dad flew the F-4 in Vietnam. He did two tours of about 8 months each. I’ll never forget when they came home. We waited on the flight line and could hear the planes before we could see them. They would always fly over and dip the wings, then come around for a touch and go before finally landing. What a sight.
We were stationed in Germany and got to go to the Paris airshow in 1976 when the F-16 was still a prototype and the Harrier was first introduced. What a great trip.
If there were female pilots when I was young, I might have tried to become one. I was born 20 years too soon😒

I dont have that one but I have a number of others including The Complete Guide to Middle Earth by Robert Foster
Longshanks tried to breed them out and he ended up with William Wallace. Bad move.
Thanks for sharing that. I have utmost respect for F-4 pilots, those things were like flying a Mack truck through the air compared to what came later.
