Posted on 05/25/2021 8:01:24 AM PDT by Bill of Rights FIRST

Of course Jim Robinson: For creating freerepublic.com and keeping it the way it is. :) Who else? Maybe one or more people on here who have supposedly been "banned" ;) though are still here. That is hilarious!!! :)

I nominate Liz. Her posts are incredibly informative.

I’d also like to nominate... Darn, can’t remember his name or handle... Anyway, he died in a fire at home. In his bathroom. He had been having some kind of problem with his loony liberal neighbor and there was some speculation hereabouts that that guy was involved, but nothing ever came of it.

He was the nicest guy and always helpful if you needed it. Never had a harsh word for anyone on FR.

I would nominate and entire class of FReepers: Those from its beginning in 1996 until probably 2002, who created what became FR; the terminology, the funnies, the activism, everything.

“I would nominate an entire class of FReepers:...”

I would also like to nominate all of our fingers for all those odd spelling mistakes that make for funny and odd readings.

If we can nominate those who are no longer with us, then I nominate Firehat. His skill as a wordsmith was incomperable!

To: LibWhacker; CHIEF negotiator; Bill of Rights FIRST

That would be CHIEF negotiator. He died of injuries inconsistent with the fire.

That's it! Thank you so much.

Herb Meadows was his real name.

A Tribute to Herb Meadows

Definitely deserves a nomination, imho

Askel5, yes, definitely. She had a bizarre mode of communication, but in retrospect, she saw where we were going quite clearly.... and way before most of the rest of us did.

h/g didn’t like BFAC too much, but I liked her. She posted stuff I wouldn’t have otherwise read.
