All part of Biden's war on the little guy.
Joe Biden wants to know what's in your bank account, and he'd like to keep watching.
That's the alarming issue Reason magazine has explored, noting that buried deep within Biden's much-touted tax-hikes-for "infrastructure" American Families Act unveiled last April 28 is a sneaky Democrat plot called the American Families Tax Compliance Agenda. That will force the IRS to hire 87,000 new IRS agents, all of them armed with vast, new and expanded surveillance powers.
Biden tax plan would cull financial data on masses of law-abiding, tax-compliant Americans. In the name of catching tax dodgers, the Biden administration is seeking serious snooping rights to oversee all American bank accounts and payment apps. "Instead of promising a chicken in every pot, Biden's plan promises an auditor at every kitchen table," commented Sen. Chuck Grassley (R–Iowa).
Under President Joe Biden's proposal, 87,000 new IRS employees would be hired and everyone could expect more scrutiny of the flow of money to and from their financial accounts.
Those powers include the "right" to continuously spy on Americans' checking accounts through forced reporting requirements from banks on all cash flows. They will also spy on Americans' PayPal and Venmo in the name of knowing whether they are reporting their petty side income. It's definitely a war on the little guy. The rich know how to hide their wealth, says Reason, so it's not going to be them who get caught up in this federal fishing expedition and bankbook dragnet: Rather, it's the folks who sometimes get paid "under the table" for informal gig work—babysitting, house cleaning, a stray manual labor job here and there

want access to all the election records Joe.
Wants to? The alphabets have long spied on your bank accounts.
This is why they want to eliminate cash. But it’s taking a lot longer than they had hoped. So instead, they are trying to shut down the gray and black markets fueled by everything from garage sales to side gigs.
And as they tax us more and more, they will be trying to enforce the law more and more, because we will be more and more incentivized to find ways to get income without having to report it to these monsters.
Our country was founded on tax rebellion. A 3 cent tax on a pound of tea then and we’re getting hosed every which way now.
How about Al Sharpton and Stacy Adams not paying their taxes?
Abrams did pay her taxes, but how long would you or I be allowed to skirt that beyond the DATE THEY ARE DUE like she did?
What about all the politicians that owe taxes and have absolutely NO punishment. That should be an automatic dismissal from public service if they break the law like that.
Not saying it's right but why lay this on Joe (or rather the Democrat collective).
I wonder if those ideas could be linked somehow?
What tax form did Louis Freeh use to report gifting $100,000 to Biden’s grandkids? How was it reported on the Biden family tax forms? Pretty sure $100,000 is a bit over the tax-exempt gift max amount.
Tax dodgers?
He just increased the debt 3 trillion dollars in his first 100 days. Obama inherited an 8 trillion dollar debt, one that he campaigned over, and he doubled it. Trump brought it up covid was a big part of that, it will likely turn out they caused that over trying successfully to get him out of the WH and were at over ...what?...23 trillion?
The average working stiff’s funding this at about 30 k, he wants to unconstitutionally harass over that?
People want to pretend this guy is not a major prick? They feel sorry for him because this sorry demented influence peddler is being used by his masters?
Trump never forgot he worked FOR the American people. Biden is a tyrant who works for tyrants, not for us.
Biden did not win this election. He needs to be removed as soon as possible.
There is always a first time. Just remove him. The phony is not president so no need for impeachment.
Well, since no one seemed to care when they did this to law-abiding, tax paying ex-pats, cry me an f’n river!
It will drive alternative electronic currencies that aren't traced through banks. (maybe?) It might just bring back cash as a popular tool. I still tend to favor cash. A coworker's son works as a server at a local restaurant. A few weeks back my coworker mentioned she is concerned because he is keeping the cash from his tips - not depositing it. Apparently the son has close to $10,000 in a drawer in his room. My coworker is getting a little concerned. When the coworker mentioned this I just thought it was a little odd and a little risky. But who knows, maybe the kid is ahead of the curve. Glen Frey had it right back in 1984 "You've got to carry weapons, 'cause you always carry cash..." ;-)
They have been spying on everyones bank account, for a long time.
There was a guy who wrote a document back in the 18th Century with a line about this situation: “He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people, and eat out their substance.” Surely he wasn’t referring to the current situation where the People have actually elected those who would make laws that would cause such things to happen, was he??
The government has forced banks to reveal information about bank accounts, and it hasn’t told us. This way the government can say that it isn’t monitoring our accounts, because it’s forcing banks to do it.
But that’s a lie and a legal fiction. The government IS monitoring bank accounts.
This would be an expansion of that.
The goal is to take all of Whitey’s money, since it’s mostly Whitey who has accounts, and to give the money to non-Whitey through reparations.
After that, they eliminate Whitey.
How do they know that paypal money is “income” or evidence of a “sale”?
It could be recompensation for money spent/loaned/owed.
Meanwhile BILLIONS of dollars in cash are wired to Mexico every year. How much of that was paid in cash non-reported income? And how many of those earners are supplementing their budget with local or federal assistance?
Yep.
“All your money are belong to us!” Except the ten percent for the “Big Guy”.
