Where are the survey markers after the lava flow goes through the village?
Actually, if the lava is flowing, it’s not boiling. Boiling would result in an ash ejection.
But it’s much hotter than boiling water.
Aren’t most surface “boiling” lava pools really just passing gas from Ma Erf?
Yes, it’s water or other volatiles going out of solution in response to lower pressure at the surface. It doesn’t happen very often with actual lava, though. Are you thinking of hydrothermal water pools?
So, it was decided that just living in Congo didn't suck enough?
Throw some fire and brimstone at 'em?
Maybe it's reality that's racist.
They say one volcano puts out more CO2 than all of mankind history.
I don’t know if anyone was killed.
Do they still sell that?
My dad loved the stuff.
You and me both.
Horrible. Prayers up for those people.
I found this on a search:
... at least 15 people dead amid the chaos and destroying more than 500 homes, officials and survivors said Sunday.
See my #32.
Hi.
At least Nyiragongo didn’t go Krakatoa.

Very good point.
Waiting for the Farmers’ Insurance dweeb to walk into the frame and say: “We know a thing or two because we’ve SEEN a thing or two.”
At least Nyiragongo didn’t go Krakatoa.
Can’t make a song with Nyiragongo as you can with “Krakatoa Katie she ain’t no lady’ when she starts to swing her sarong..”

This little 10 year old kid got turned on by a mouse back then!
What happened? The volcano was going to explode, and the next thing I know I got George Thoughlygood and the Destroyers’ one bourbon...
What’s up with that?

In many places in Africa, some of the clothing comes from America. Charity thrift stores sell what they can and often package the rest and some of that is shipped overseas. Same thing for many European nations.
I was watching a nerd special on an African nation and saw a guy interviewed who was wearing a Montana Grizzlies t-shirt. It was amusing and good for him. He was proudly rocking his Grizz shirt.
