To the best of my knowledge, Steve Jobs was adamant about not involving Apple in politics. Whatever his background or personal beliefs, he knew better than to mix business with politics. It can only result in the loss of part of your customer base, often as much as 50%. He was interested in making cool innovative products, and making money. Tying your business identity to politics is bad business.
Jobs was smarter than that. But he's been dead a decade, and a lot has changed.
He did it, in subtle ways, he just wasn't public about it.
