In the reports I’ve seen, the power of Vitamin D is in its ability to help the body fight a virus, not so much to prevent it.
Validity, validity, validity. No one these days understands validity and testing.
Apples and oranges. Testing positive for antibodies means the person has had the virus but does not show the person had high or low Vit D in their system at the time of infection. Nothing but rubish.
I’ll continue to take Vit D-3, wear a mask and a ballerina tutu through the middle of Walmart if I wish and it’s not one’s bleepin’ business.
Good luck to everyone who believes in fake medical “research” paid for by drug companies. I believe in real science.
Just like the HCQ studies were on already-hospitalized patients and left out Zinc.
An "official" hit job on the treatment, as it were.

From YOUR article. Overall, 324 COVID-19 cases were included: 105 in group 1 (PD patients), 92 in group 2 (PD caregivers), and 127 in group 3 (hospital inpatients). The characteristics of the study participants are summarized in Table 1 . The use of 25OHD supplements (mean intake, 58.846 IU/mo) was reported by 38 (11.7%) participants out of 324. Clinical and demographic features of supplement users and non-users were comparable. Serum 25OHD levels of supplemented inpatients (n = 11) were about 3-fold higher than those of non-users. However, among these participants, two had insufficient levels (20β30 ng/mL; range, 24.7β29.4 ng/mL) and three presented a deficiency status (<20 ng/mL; range, 18.0β19.7 ng/mL). Forty-three (21.8%) out of 197 participants with COVID-19 identified through the phone survey required hospitalization, and 47 (27.6%) of hospitalized patients (n = 170) died. The use of 25OHD supplements was not associated with either hospitalization or in-hospital mortality, although a trend toward a 2-fold higher risk of death was found for supplement users, particularly after adjusting for potential confounders (Table 2 ).
11 patients who supplemented with Vitamin D.
2 of the 11 had insufficient levels of Vitamin D in the blood, another 3 were *deficient*. And WTF do these two sentences mean, please?

...and they neglect to mention in the headlines, this was for Parkinson's Disease patients.
And this disproves that Vitamin D works for the general population?
God, you're a dishonest troll.
See post 66 this thread.
Please learn how to do a cursory read before chanting “Because SCIENCE!”β’
I find the timing of this very convenient as biden states,
“The unvaccinated will pay the price.”
Moving from carrot to coercion phase...
Yeh sure. π
If I remember correctly the issue wasn’t how susceptible you were to infection it was how bad the effects would be if you were low on vitamin D.
Great observation.....as usual :-)
We’re definitely in the coercion phase.
Correct.
Also, susceptibility to infection sounds like something measured with the bogus (for these purposes) PCR technology.
The point is not being infected, but resistance to it.
“God, you’re a dishonest troll.”
Aw. Did that nasty paper trigger you?
I notice that you didn’t address the subject of it in your rant. Is there a reason you avoided it?
Vitamin D enhances the expression of ACE2.
With most diseases this would be no big deal.
For most lung diseases Vitamin D enhances immunity.
But Covid uses ACE2 receptors to infect cells.
It’s what the Covid Spike Protein binds to.
So an increase in ACE2 expression means increased opportunity for the virus to infect cells.
This has created the question of whether Vitamin D therapy helps combat Covid, or whether it backfires and gives Covid added opportunity to create mayhem.
The paper has two disqualifiers which I pointed out and you ignored.
I won’t bother repeating them since you have already proven yourself to be dishonest and uninterested in the truth.
Sod off.
