What I remember of that book - the 9/11 report, was that they explored the advance trades in stock such as airlines (shorted etc.), but did NOT tell us who made those trades.

They said something on the order of - it was found not to be terrorist related. Rumor has it that it was one of the extended Bush crowd that had an in-law that was close to some of Bin Laden's kinfolks.
