My Pops is about to hit 79yo, and is in very good health for an old-timer. I’m hoping to have him around to tell me how I’m doing it wrong for a long time. He got rid of his old Cummins dually not long after I bought the new Hemi RAM. Guess he figured if there was something heavy that needed to be moved I can do it for him. lol
Every boat needs a name. Mine is called PBR Judy Badoomba. Named after my favorite teacher from when I was in high school. She was an awesome lady who had a well-developed “anchor”. My boat is a bit broad at the beam as well, so that just seemed to me like the perfect name.
I’m waiting one more week, then the rest of the tomatoes and peppers go in!
I got the following planted, today:
Cherry-type tomatoes
Zucchini
Cucumber
Basil
Swiss Chard
Nasturtium
Dahlia
fresh Kale (mine over wintered but wants to go to flower)
Stargazer Lilies
And I potted up a bunch of started plants that needed bigger pots. I need new string on my bean pole tower, then I can get those in this week, too, as well as bush beans. I picked out which beds will be peppers (2) and which will be tomatoes for this season. I try to move stuff around when I can.
I have two brand new beds, but I’m going to fill them with annual cutting flowers for now, then one is going to have garlic this fall and the other spring bulbs (Daffs, Tulips, etc.) for cutting - just for me! :)
It was a productive day! Looking forward to the rain that is coming my way!
