Walk on the Wild Side
We're all walking on the wild side now.
“And the POC’s say...”
And the colored girls say do do do do do do do do do do do do do
I used to listen to it play late at night on FM radio. A perfect late night song actually. It was considered "edgy" music back in the day.
This song should be canceled.
I heard that “giving head” made it past the censors because no one knew what it meant!
Who knows, oral sex may not have been familiar to many prior to 1970!
I remember that song and never liked it
Right back at ya with a Velvet Underground Lou Reed penned classic about cross dressing New York street punks interlaced with an American Indian peyote chant: Sweet Jane/ Wichi Tai To
By Michael Stanley.
Once heard it cannot be unheard.

Not unless being a blob in a La-Z-Boy is taking a walk on the wild side, I’m not.
I know this wasn’t Velvet Underground, but just as a side note, Velvet Underground drummer Moe Tucker was known to be a Tea Party conservative activist during the past decade. Hadn’t heard about any recent activities though.
If i was mixing i would have the colored girls to dos come up faster. not sure but i think one mix might have the to dos not as slow as this version.
(rinse and repeat)...
“do do do do do do do do do do do do do”
Take a walk on the wild side... no
purchase required, no ticket necessary to
watch this block buster, just butter
your popcorn.
Mo is still on Facebook and Leftists are still unkind to her in their taunts and hate speech. She doesn’t get into flame wars, she just keeps on like a rock and roll grandma does.

Cool!
I pretty much felt the same way, although I got a kick out of the dirty lyrics and how they got played on the radio. Also the sax solo (by British sax player Ronnie Ross) is pretty cool.
I never "got" Lou Reed, but a lot of influential artist types in NYC thought he was extremely cool. Also he was a smack addict, and went to the same college I went to, but a few years before I got there.
Disgusting song.

Holly came from Miami, FLA
Hitchhiked her way across the U.S.A
Plucked her eyebrows on the way
Shaved her legs and then he was a she
She says, “Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side”
Said, “Hey honey, take a walk on the wild side”
Do you feel the same way about Lola or Dude Looks Like a Lady?...Lol
Yes. Stomach-turning.
Much of popular music is anti-christ. Jesus forgave the adultress, but also told her to “go and sin no more”.
Look at the Freebird song by Lynard Skynard (sp); the lyrics indicate (to me) of a guy that shacks up, then moves on. The singer even says he’s a freebird, as though it’s the best life. But also says (insincerely, in my opinion) “Lord help me, I can’t change”. It gives the impression that it’s cool to live like that. Put to catchy music, its helped to keep the sex without committment train moving ever faster.
I worked as an aircraft mechanic at an airport next to Galesburg, IL, back in the late 80s. The guys there had rock playing on the hanger fm radio all day. Occasionally, I would mock their lyrics and singing styles; but not too much those guys were big fans of the stuff.
There was a song by Whitesnake, “here I go again on my own”. I’d yell, “Yeah, go and get lost, don’t come back! But you’ll be back in a couple hours, singing the same old song!”
Hi Steely Tom, I enjoy most music. Not a fan of Hip Hop. I’m knocking on 70 years. My most favorite is Elton John. I love his music since the 70’s. I always said his music has hold the memories of my life. Of course there are many others. I don’t know what a smack addict means.
