We had a ‘66 Country Sedan with a 352 V8.
The rear door was also hinged at the left side, to open like a passenger door.
My parents took 10 kids and a babysitter on a 2400-mile (round trip) to Disneyland one summer. And we all survived.
And picking up not one, but two, 50-lb bags of potatoes directly after Sunday Mass was an adventure.
And I drove as the family “school bus” with 4 of us in high school and 6 in grade school. The 2 youngest weren’t in school at that time.
Thanks!
Another nice, nostalgic story. :)
