I know some folks who harvest dandelion greens to eat - too bitter for my taste - and others who make dandelion wine - I’ve never tasted it.
Makes you wonder why we are conditioned all our lives to think of Dandelion as “just a weed”... hmmmmm!
I would harvest them from my yard, except my dear husband, bless his heart, uses the infernal Roundup! grrr.... No matter how I beg him not to, it just makes him all the more obstinate, and the best I can accomplish is to get him to keep that crap far away from my avocado tree!
Dandelion leaves are hgih in calcium.

I know the feeling- hubbs has a bad habit of spraying and then walking in it. Which creates ghost footprints of dead grass the next week! GRRR. . . .
