The vikings were the Danish and Norse adventurers. The Welsh are the remainder of the original inhabitants or the island, the Britons though I think there is Roman blood mixed in there too.
I love history and geneology. My dad took it as far as he could without Internet or DNA testing. I did the DNA testing along with more research to find out how far back we went and to verify what he found. When my first ancestor from Scotland came here he landed in the Appalachians and the family has mostly stayed in the area. I can remember my great-grandfather calling people that didn’t live in the mountains Lowlanders. :-) He was born in 1865 at the end of the Civil War and taught me a lot of real history about that time.
I wish people passed down their oral history like my family always did.
