I would be so SO very upset if this was someone in my family. Poor lady. In my opinion, the Cop broke with reality the moment he ‘threw’ this 80lb elder to the ground. Emotionally, she may never get over this.
My Dad suffered from dementia for his last few months of life. Their demeanor or their apparent focus can change dramatically from one moment to the next.
They need patience and at times, they just need some space.
What a little bitch that cop is. He needs a right proper ass-kicking.
More importantly, what kind of a family (children/grandchildren) does this old lady have when (almost a year later) these two cops are still walking around?
My attitude toward the police — “law enforcement” — has evolved considerably over the years.
So how did a single dislocation or broken bone occur? All he had to do was cuff one wrist and then the other, gently.

She wasn’t driving. She was walking. When I first saw the video I thought she had been stopped and walked away from her vehicle, but no. There was no vehicle other than the cop car.

Could you enlighten everyone how you would prefer police detain and arrest shoplifting and assault suspects that would be better than this method?

I have to question why she still possessed a drivers license with demonstrated lack of cognizance. This didn’t happen over night.
