Thanks.
My wife saw her “medical team” today...no clues...though they did find an arrhythmia and scheduled heart stuff. (Why the ER people didn’t find it when they took her vitals, I’ll never know.)
She takes BP meds...and it appears they may be zeroing in on an adjustment.
She is tougher than shoe leather...seems you are cut from the same cloth...
Thanks again.
Prayers for your better half, you and rest of family.

Stylin, when my lung doctor put me on oxygen I bought one of those finger oxygen testers which also shows your pulse rate. Sometimes I would see it at 30 beats per minute and if I did much exertion it would go to 100 or more. When I went back into him I told him and showed him as I brought it with me. Even their blood pressure machine showed it at 30 bpm. He said let me take a listen and then he said “No wonder you have an arrhythmia” and asked who my cardiologist was. I told him I haven’t since about 3 yrs. ago. So he put in a referral. They called and said it would be OCTOBER before they could get me in. I then went to my regular doctor and told her about it. She took a listen and then did an EKG. She said she didn’t hear anything and the EKG didn’t show that but it did show I skip beats which she said is no big deal. I asked her how could the lung doctor hear it and not you or the EKG show it. She said it could be INTERMITENT. She said she could maybe get me into a Cardiologist sooner. One who still has his OWN practice and NOT connected to the hospital. I HAVEN’T heard a thing.
Another thing when at the Lung doctor he said he wanted to change the inhaler I was on to a different one. To ANORO ELLIPTA. So I looked it up and it has a steroid in it and it said don’t use with Beta Blockers. So I looked up a BP pill my regular Dr. had put me on several yrs. ago because I told her I had headaches EVERY DAY. It was like a vise was squeezing my head. She said these BP pills were used to get rid of headaches, which they seemed to. But anyway I looked them up and they are Beta Blockers. I also checked the side effects of those BP pills while I was at it. The list said.
1. Slow heart rate (yep have that)
2. Diarrhea (which I get every so often and don’t know why)
3. Dry eyes (very much so)
4. Hair loss (every time a run a brush through my hair)
5. Weakness or tiredness (It got so I would get up and just sit back down in my chair the rest of the day. I couldn’t function)
6. Cold hands, or feet. (sometimes not to bad)
7. Dry peeling skin (It is awful)
She told me how to wean off of them and I just finished and I feel better already as far as being weak and tired all the time. I guess more time will tell.
Basically ALL medications are poison. I wish I would have checked on the side effects that it (Propranolol) could have on people and maybe the last few years could have been better. I was just blaming all my weakness and tiredness on having to care for my dying husband.
Hope everything gets figured out for your wife. And don’t think doctors know everything because they don’t. They are pill pushers. One needs to be in tune with their OWN body also.
