I like that poem!
When I was a wee little lass my grandfather would tell me not to eat the doughnut hole as it was poison so I always left a little of the doughnut around the hole. Some how they disappeared. :-) He also used to fool us three kids into thinking the chicken had three legs (because we all wanted a leg) by breaking the piece off the wing and telling us it was a small chicken.
