You’re welcome LG.
After a month away my own bed was much appreciated. My boys kept things up around my yard. I expected to have a lot of chores facing me when I got back but they seem to have done it all. Unfortunately they didn’t go inside the house and I came home to ants in the kitchen. I’ve got it under control now but had to throw out a bunch of stuff in cabinets.
What wonderful boys you have.
You have raised them well.
Sorry about those pesky ants.

Here’s what happened to us in June 1961 when we moved to CA. from WA. My husband had gotten a teaching position there, but that wouldn’t start until August. We had money in our bank back in WA.(not much though) When we got moved into the house we were renting we went shopping for groceries. We had two very young children. Anyway we filled up a grocery cart full and went to check out. They WOULD NOT take our check from out of state and we NEVER had much cash. My husband found he had a dollar or two so decided to buy a bag of Gumdrops. He said they would give us energy. LoL Well the next morning we got up to eat our gumdrops and when we took them out of the cupboard the bag was pitch black. So full of ants you couldn’t see a single gumdrop. Thank God the milkman came the next day and said if we would sign him up for regular delivery he would give us milk, eggs, cottage cheese, FREE right then and later we could pay on credit. Loved that milk man.
My husband couldn’t even get a part time job because when they found out he was already employed by the school district they didn’t want him for just the summer. I was able to find a Temp job at a seniors retirement center. Those were the days. :-)
