As a veteran of likely 80-100 trips via LSD and peyote and mescaline and psilocybin mushrooms I call bullshit on this
Maybe chiropractics cures heart disease too really
You did not eat psilocybin mushrooms then partner
Lexapro does in my opinion knowing folks who take it
Makes folks happier and less nervous and anxious
Like a soft prolonged mood elevator
Eloi dope...kind of....certain level of bliss and contentment ....not like opioid buzz but still very positive sense of well being
I’m not criticizing it
It changed the life of my family.....
Here fungicides in livestock feed have about eradicated them in the states except the forest species
I ask the same question about the toad that secretes an enzyme that causes hallucinations if you lick it.....
In the Deep South they would sprout in the winter if it hit 70
Farmers hated long hairs in their pastures
One shot my add air conditioner in my mgbgt once in Baldwin county Alabama
I said damn that son of a bitch is shooting my car....he shot it and left
Agreeded
I spent most of my twenties and thirties depressed. Eventually I worked my way through it and for some reason got over it. But I can unequivocally tell people magic mushrooms are not the answer.
Having engaged in shrooms in my early days I can tell you that that stuff is very hard on your body. If you want to ingest a drug that makes you sick to your stomach for the first 30 minutes or so then if you can keep yourself from throwing up leads to hallucinations and uncontrollable laughter for about 4-5 hours followed by feeling like krap the next day then knock yourself out.
A 25 year old body can deal with anything but if you are the average over forty American do not try this stuff. It is not good for you.
Consider investigating:

Try to keep an open mind.
I am following the medical research for we are seeing clients. They are microdosing. Amazing success with people who have not had successes with the ssris
Kar some populare kumbacha from Vermont that in retrospect was a micro dose of some sort. Saw vision sharpen and colors become more saturated.
Big difference between tripping and the controlled micro dosing that is going on here.
Can be very effective for the right people
