You can probably get a brand-new desktop with built in Wi-Fi (about two or three year old model), for a little more than the cost of Wi-Fi USB adapters
now theres a smart man stepping up to the plate.
It’s a habit I got into early on.
When new computers were $3000, I found I could buy last years model for $1000.
Look up refurb desktops (laptops too) at VIP Outlet which is basically Walmart overstock. They have great deals on ones with the very strong i5-8400 CPU. Passmark score near 10,000. Under 300 dollars. I have one of these from VIP by HP that I put in a Western Digital 500GB NVME drive into and added some memory.
