There are multiple people on my department’s intranet site who post pictures of their dogs. One person in particular posts about her dog at least twice a week. She seems to not be concerned that people might think she has no life. (Not that many people have a life these days in comparison to pre ‘rona days.)

She also seems not to be concerned that we can see her messy house in the background of these photos.

Only once has someone posted a photo of their cat and that was because this one lady was trying to get homes for the kittens of a stray she took in.

I lie. There was another person who had a photo up of their cat, but that was because the cat was in the same frame as the photo of their dog.

I don’t know what it means, but it is interesting.

Maybe the next time our friendly neighborhood skunk comes around I will take a picture of it on someone’s porch and say he is my pet just to see how many people I can fool.
