It grieves me so much to see things like this.
Years ago my late wife’s sister was attending a church that taught that the New Testament was just fables, Mary was not a virgin, Christ was not sitting at the right hand of the Father.

This pastor is preaching to his audience. A bunch of liberal professors and phd’s at a Christian college. I am so on the fence about higher education. I think for some it’s great and much needed. I think for those that need trade school it’s a waste of time. But I think those liberal professors, especially at a Christian college do more damage than good.
Your late wife’s sister’s (I’m sorry about your wife) story reminds me of a book I read, I think by some Episcopalian priest? minister? who wrote a book that was very similar to that philosophy. I finished the book. But it was out there.
Hubby and I have a term for it, but this is a family site lol.
