I sent Ezra a cheque to help him defend himself against a legal battle with Trudeau a couple of years back. They were trying to stop distribution of his book that was highly critical of Trudeau prior to his re-election, on the grounds that it unfairly interfered with the political process.

The problem with their logic was that there were 7-8 other books published at the same time that were highly approving of Trudeau and Trudeau didn’t object to any of those as unfairly interfering with the political process. Levant took Trudeau to court and I tried to help. When they could no longer hide the double standard, Team Trudeau backed off and the case was dropped.

Ezra Levant is definitely one of the good guys. Gavin McGinnis and I lived in Ottawa at the same time and he was thought of as being highly controversial. I hadn’t had my political awakening yet back then. I’ve seen some of his articles in the Rebel News and we align politically as well. He is much maligned here in Canada and may even have been declared a terrorist. I think he left the country to protect himself. I may not be far behind.

I’m impressed that you know who these people are, though I think everyone knows McGinnis now through his connection to the Proud Boys.

Gavin McGinnis and I lived in Ottawa at the same time and he was thought of as being highly controversial.

He was a weird, druggy, punk rock anarchist back then, in his yute who brawled with the neo-nazis in the street.

After that phase, he started VICE magazine till he got it stolt from him and it turned into a derp propaganda outfit.

He has since morphed into a VERY right wing kind of a guy (now called a nazi by the derps) He's had about enough of the lefty scum. I read his books and used to watch his podcast shows. I saw him invent the Proud Boys during a conversation with some big, bald head maniac (whose name I forget).

He is very interesting, smart, and funny to watch. Almost as interesting, smart, and funny as me, if you can believe that.

I did an internship with Ezra. He has been a genius for a long time. Those who knew him when he was 20 said he was a strong conservative and political and communications genius even then.
