we pay close to $6 thousand a yr for 5 acres....this is in Washington State and we don’t have an income tax so they wham us with property tax...
We have 43 acres in S.E. TN and a house. Our property tax is $600 a year. I have a friend in WA and they are seriously considering moving, hopefully to TN. The thing holding them back right now are the tornadoes, snakes, spiders, and heat. Our property tax is high since we don’t have income tax but actually lower than WA according to her.
Texas is worse on property tax; almost 6k for 2600 sq ft 22 year old house on a quarter acre in town.
