You might be interested to know that the last history book I taught Jr. High kids from, maybe 10 years ago, didn’t have the Wright Brothers in the glossary. It did include a photo of the Flyer, but didn’t really tell the Wrights’ story nor give them credit for the first airplane.

Happily, the history book did include the woman who started the first kindergarten class in Los Angeles.
