Actually, I miss DOS. Once you figured it out, it was easy as hell.
Loved Windows XP Service Pack 2...
Still have two functional systems as VM's and one old workstation that I still (occasionally) fire up and use for a few of things...
Vista stunk at first, but by the time it was patched it was as close to Windows 7 without being Windows 7 as it could be. It wasn’t half bad towards the end of its life.

Yep. Windows ME wasn’t all that bad, for me at least. No doubt in my mind that Vista should be #1.
I miss DOS, too. WordPerfect for DOS was so powerful; when they caved to Windows format, it lost a lot. Paradox for DOS was good, too.
Now I’m hanging on to Windows 7 with Office 2003. DH deals with Windows 10 renting Office 365.
I didn’t hate Vista. I hated Vista until I worked in 10 for a few weeks; then I realized Vista was OK.
I do have XP on an old laptop that I’d love to get in to, but can’t use. (I like the XP sound recorder.) Blue screen of death. It’s probably easy to troubleshoot but I don’t know how. :(
Windows 10 is the only one I have refused to have on any of my computers.
DOS is still there, underneath....................
