I’m lucky (I guess). I take a couple dozen capsules total, all right after my first meal of the day, which tends to be a bowl of fresh fruit and nuts at about 1:00 p.m. Not all in one gulp, though - haha! It takes a glass of water to get them down. But I’m fortunate in that I tolerate them all just fine, though some leave a brief aftertaste. (Beats medications, of which I take none.)
The only prescription med I take is a thyroid pill. I don’t tolerate a lot of meds but I’m lucky to have a doctor that prefers otc supplements or nutrition where possible.
