The clear face shield allows a deaf or hearing disabled/hard of hearing person to read my lips.

In some states (ex: California) both the hearing impaired person and the person communicating with him/her are exempt from wearing masks.

Here we go! I’ve watched a few Marlee Matlin movies and can imitate the speech patterns of a deaf person well enough. You’ve just helped me come up with my newest strategy and I have time to practice. Not sure I can pull off not being startled at sudden noises though, should someone decide to test me.

Vibrations, nukka.

Deaf people develop super senses for vibrations.

Kinda a Daredevil thing, sorta. 'Cept with ears.

LOL, I like your thinking!

I’m severely hearing impaired, and I always had that problem with people coming up behind me and startling me.
